New music

The new album, which will be titled “Equilibrium,” is shaping up with only three songs left to go, two of which are about half finished. One new one from Bill is called “World Crashing Down” and is short and quite catchy…imagine that…a short song…from us! Mine (Dennis) will be a short song as well. Then the last will be a bit longer, probably 6-8 minutes…who knows. I have about half of that one done as well. Very cool “eastern” sounding intro to that one. Other songs include “the approaching storm”, “who I used to be”, “walk away”, “in the end”, “under the radar” 14 min instrumental, and “turning the tide.” Good times.

Dead Air Radio featured in Mike Cameo's Indie Top 10

Due to the ranking status of “Unified” on the metal charts at Indie-music.net (top 10 for several months, peaking at #1), it has been chosed to appear in Mike Cameo’s Indies’ Top 10 podcast for the month of September. CLICK HERE

This is the second time one of our songs has been featured in his show, which brings the best indie music from all around into one show. “Immaculate Rhapsody” was featured in the May edition. Rock!

New material

We’ve been working on new tunes lately, the newest of which is called “Walk Away.” It’s pretty rockin’ and clocks in around 9 minutes, which is wild considering we gave the ax to a wicked instrumental section that was a couple of minutes long. Still hard to believe this song is still so long given that it’s pretty straight-forward. In regards to the toss-out, not to worry, that section is now becoming a whole new instrumental piece. Funny how we haven’t done an instrumental yet, but it’s coming, and it’ll be cool.
